<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser device capable of making a high speed response when starting and ending an output of a pulse laser light and capable of suppressing breakage of an optical amplification medium. <P>SOLUTION: A laser device 1A comprises a seed light source 10, an optical amplification part 20, a pulse modulator 40, an excitation light trigger part 50 and a main control part 60. The pulse modulator 40 controls starting and ending of an output of a seed light from the seed light source 10 in response to an output start direction and an output end direction which are given from the main control part 60. The excitation light power control part 50 increases or decreases the power of an excitation light supplied to an optical fiber 21 for amplification in response to an excitation light trigger signal given from the main control part 60. The main control part 60 decreases the power of the excitation light supplied to the optical fiber 21 for amplification by the excitation light power control part 50 when ending the output of pulse laser light, and then ends the output of the seed light from the seed light source 10 by a pulse modulator 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
