<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transportation and installation apparatus that eliminates post-attachment of a steel rod and the like, allows simplification of a transportation facility, and facilitates works for suspending and installing a heavy weight article. <P>SOLUTION: A transportation rack 20 for a steel framework 1 includes: plate members 20a fixed to a bottom surface of reinforcement steel member 3; a sleigh-like foot members 20b; a sleeper member 20d for hanging/connecting the aforementioned two kinds of members; and lifting bolts 20e for hanging/fixing from the sleeper member 20d by being penetrated through the reinforcement steel member 3 and screwed into the plate members 20a. When the steel framework is transported and hung/installed with the transportation rack 20 connected to the reinforcement steel member 3, the lifting bolts 20e are loosened; the reinforcement steel member 3 and the plate members 20a of the transportation rack 20 are lowered; the steel framework 1 is laid on a main girder 6; the lifting bolts 20e are extracted to remove the transportation rack 20 and also foot member feeding means 21 from welded steel rods 9.
