COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF TUMOR OF HEMATOPOIETIC ORIGIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions of matter useful for the treatment of hematopoietic tumor in mammals and methods of using the compositions of matter for the same.

SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical formulation for inhibiting the growth of tumor cells of B cell origin expressing a specific polypeptide contains an antibody binding to the polypeptide which is conjugated to a growth inhibitory agent or cytotoxic agent through a peptidase-sensitive linker. The growth of the cells is inhibited by the binding of the antibody to the polypeptide and the antibody internalizes to the cells according to the binding to the polypeptide.
