<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug connector which provides an improved connection with a counterpart connector. <P>SOLUTION: A plug connector 2 comprises: a shell 4 in which a flange portion 10 for transmitting shell-side coupling force is formed on an outer peripheral surface 4d; a coupling nut 5 having a substantially cylindrical shape, and rotatably disposed on the side of the outer peripheral surface 4d of the shell 4, the coupling nut 5 having a flange portion 14 for transmitting nut-side coupling force which can be in contact with the flange portion 10 for transmitting shell-side coupling force of the shell 4 in the coupling direction; and nut movement prevention means which prevents the coupling nut 5 from moving in a separating direction from the shell 4.
