The very compact soldering-strip advancing system processes soldering strips of any desired dimensions with a high degree of reproducibility and reliability in terms of the process. It comprises a permanently pressurized, single-acting pneumatic cylinder, which applies to a soldering strip a prestress required for process analysing purposes and brings about the tearing-off movement with a defined force. All that is additionally required is a controllable double-acting pneumatic cylinder, with which three different movements or positions are realized. This reduction brings about a clear reduction in the complexity of controlling and regulating equipment and a very compact type of construction, which allows a high degree of accessibility to the soldering location and any desired installation positions. The tearing-off length and the length consumed in each soldering operation can be set in a defined manner. A single sensor checks both the correct feeding of the soldering strip and the melting thereof. This serves both for quality control and for the reliability of the process, since it is checked whether the soldering strip is correctly clamped between the workpieces to be soldered before the soldering current is switched on. |
