The system has a photovoltaic generator (3) attached to input terminals of an inverter (5) i.e. reactive power controller, where output terminals of the inverter are attached to a consumer load. The consumer load is formed as an electrically operated transportation network. The output terminals are attached to contact lines (13) i.e. overhead line contact wires, of the transportation network under interposition of a single transformer (7). The transformer is arranged between the inverter and a public network (1).
