PURPOSE: A control device and method of a linear compressor, and a refrigerator are provided to simplify the control program of a refrigerator and enhance stability of a system by changing cooling capacity corresponding to load. CONSTITUTION: A control device of a linear compressor comprises a phase difference detecting unit(300), a power calculating unit(400), and a control unit(500). The phase difference detecting unit detects phase difference between motor current applied to a compressor motor and stroke. The power calculating unit calculates load power based on motor voltage applied to the motor and motor applied to the motor. The control unit generates power instruction based on load power and phase difference between maximum load and other load requiring minimum power.
