摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lithium titanate particles as an electrode active material which can compose a lithium ion secondary battery which is excellent in discharging capacity under a low-temperature environment. <P>SOLUTION: As the lithium titanate, lithium titanate particles which have an average primary particle diameter of 0.1-1.0 &mu;m and in which the SD value represented by formula (I) is 80 &mu;m or less are used.
