<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric actuator that prevents insulation resistance degradation of piezoelectric ceramics and ensures long-term reliability. <P>SOLUTION: In a piezoelectric actuator 1, a piezoelectric ceramic layer 4 containing lead is clamped by a pair of electrodes 5 and 6, with at least the electrode 5 of the pair of electrodes 5 and 6 containing silver and the piezoelectric ceramic layer 4 containing lead and sulfur and including different phases whose mean diameter is in a range of 0.05 to 2.5 μm. A print head has such a structure that the piezoelectric actuator 1 is mounted onto a flow path member where a plurality of ink flow paths having ink discharge holes are arranged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
