<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a set of exposed-type column base plates, which enable weld-joint of steel plates to have high integrity without use of high-strength bolts for the joint, and can maintain the integrity against out-of-plane bending. <P>SOLUTION: A set of the exposed-type column base plates comprises: a column-side plate 6 that is joined to a steel frame column 2; a foundation-side plate 7 that is placed on concrete foundation; anchor-bolt holes 8 drilled through both the column- and foundation-side plates; a first joint part 9, which is opened through the foundation-side plate as a hole sizing to fit inside the square outer profile of the steel frame column in order to form a welding space S with a bottom face of the column-side plate, of which the inner periphery w1 is appropriately welded and joined to the bottom face; and second joint parts 10, which are created in the foundation-side plate by cutting the plate from its outer edge 7a towards the outer edge of the steel frame column avoiding the anchor-bolt holes in order to form welding spaces S with a bottom face of the column-side plate, of which edges w2 are appropriately welded and joined to the bottom face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
