<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a method and a system for controlling an electric cylinder capable of preventing a load detector connected with the electric cylinder and a rod from being destroyed by an overload generated by an unexpected collision of the rod of the electric cylinder and a member to be pressed. <P>SOLUTION: A servo controller 17 determines whether or not a pressing load Pm detected by the load detector 13 is a collision detecting load Pc or above, and when it determines that the pressing load Pm is the collision detecting load Pc or above, and furthermore, it determines whether or not a stopping flag at the time of collision indicates ON, and whether or not a driving speed Sm of the rod 11 is a collision allowable speed Sc or above. When it determines that the stopping flag at the time of collision indicates ON, or that the driving speed Sm is the collision allowable speed Sc or above, a reverse positional command pulse signal is outputted to a servo amplifier 16, and the retaining pulses accumulated in the servo amplifier 16 is forcibly decreased to stop the rod 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
