<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the motion picture response as well as the resolution of a minified image. <P>SOLUTION: In an image processing apparatus, a pseudo high-resolution processor selects a representative pixel from each pixel block that is set to an original image, and generates two or more kinds of minified images (an odd-numbered frame and an even-numbered frame) in which a pixel value decided based on the representative pixel is allocated to a pixel position corresponding to the pixel block by changing the representative pixel to be selected. A frame interpolation processor 103 generates a minified image including an interpolation frame that interpolates between two minified images adjacent to each other in time-series. A timing controller uses a frame frequency higher than that of the original image to perform a display process based on the minified image generated by the pseudo high-resolution processor and the minified image generated by the frame interpolation processor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
