摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve engine start characteristic of an engine further by allowing ignition at optimum timing corresponding to angular velocity of an engine during a period until an engine rotates by a specified number after start-up. <P>SOLUTION: The capacitor charging/discharging type engine ignition device is provided with a capacitor 7 for charging/discharging which is charged by output from a source coil 4, a switching element 8 for discharging which makes a charge of the capacitor 7 for discharging be discharged through an ignition coil 3 at ON time, and an ignition timing controller 14 which calculates engine rotation speed from periods of corresponding two front and rear input waveforms of the source coil 4 and makes the switching element 8 for discharge be turned on at the ignition timing according to the engine rotation speed. The ignition timing controller 14 contains a hard ignition unit 17 for executing hard ignition by turning on the switching element 8 for discharging taking the input waveform from the source coil 4 as a reference until an engine rotates by a specified number after start-up. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
