<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gaming machine which can prevent a player from setting a sound volume beyond an assumption. <P>SOLUTION: The gaming machine has an operation means 5a, a sub generalization CPU 92a, a sound volume adjustment means 105a, and a voice output means 7. The operation means 5a is arranged on the machine front side and outputs an operation signal when operated by the player. The sound volume adjustment means 105a is prepared on the machine back side and alters the volume of a sound. The sub generalization CPU 92a makes it possible to choose a sound volume value within restricted limits out of sound volume values memorized by a sound volume value storage means 92b based on the operation signal in the condition that the volume of a sound is adjusted by the sound volume adjustment means 105a and alters the sound volume value based on the selected sound volume value.
