<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing implement capable of keeping the air-tightness in a battery using a metallic sealing body and a resin-made sleeve as the sealing implement for a sealed battery even if a tight contact between the metallic sealing body and the resin-made sleeve is lost. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing implement, which seals an aperture of a sealed battery, comprises: a metallic core 1 including a shaft part 12 and a large diameter part 13 having a larger diameter than that of the shaft part 12; a metallic cylindrical member 2, with a bottom and a flange, which encompasses a part of the shaft part 12 and the large diameter part 13 in a bag-like shape and has a larger inner diameter at the part where the large diameter part 13 is encompassed than at the part where the shaft part 12 is encompassed; and a resin-made sleeve 3, with a bottom and a flange, into which a part of the metallic cylindrical member 2 is inserted from the aperture side. As the metallic core 1 is being pulled out of the metallic cylindrical member 2, the metallic cylindrical member 2 is expanded in the diameter direction to be deformed by the large diameter part 13. The resin-made sleeve 3 seals the sealed battery by being expanded in the diameter direction due to the deformation of the metallic cylindrical member 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
