<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector that can surely prevent invasion of unnecessary objects such as water, dust, etc. with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: An electrical connector has a tubular shaped shield case 6 which is achieved by bending a metal plate having predetermined size and thickness in a tubular shape so that a hollow hole having a predetermined size is formed in the metal plate and joining both end portions of the metal plate to each other so that at least one end portion is opened, and an electrically insulating connector housing on which a contact having high electrical conductivity is mounted, and the connector housing is engagedly fitted in the hollow hole of the shield case to perform electromagnetic shield. Housing water-proof means for preventing invasion of water from the outside into the inside is provided between the connector housing 3 and the contact 2, and contact water-proof means for preventing similar invasion is provided between the connector housing 3 and the shield case 6.
