摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve linearity of detection sensitivity to a sample introducing amount in a discharge ionizing current detector using low frequency barrier discharge. <P>SOLUTION: Dilution gas is supplied upward to be opposed to a downward flow of plasma gas from a lower end of a lower portion gas flow passage 10 connected to a lower end of an upper portion gas flow passage 4. A gas discharge passage 15 for discharging plasma gas, dilution gas and sample gas is connected between an electrode 11 for collecting ions and an electrode 12 for applying bias voltage. Sample gas introduced through a capillary pipe 16 is mixed with the plasma gas and the dilution gas by a turbulent flow generated by a collision between the plasma gas and the dilution gas, and sample components thereof are efficiently ionized by light from plasma without being affected by light shielding by sample components thereof having high density. Since the ion generation region is close to the electrodes 11 and 12, the ions are quickly moved by a short distance by an action of a DC electric field and reach the electrode 11 for collecting ions before service lives of the ions expire. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
