<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet device which can ensure good productivity in addition to high density and size reduction. <P>SOLUTION: A head chip includes a first head chip 11 having one channel array where the outlets and inlets of a channel 112 are arranged, respectively, on the front surface and rear face, and a second head chip 12 having one or two channel arrays where a channel 122 is recessed on the surface of a substrate from the front end to a middle portion on the rear end side, and the second head chip is laminated between two first head chips so that all front surfaces are flush with each other. Rear end of the second head chip further projects rearward than that of the first head chip, and a second lead-out electrode 124 leading to a drive electrode in the channel of a second head chip is led out from the inside of each channel to the rear end of the second head chip.
