METHOD AND APPARATUS OF RESOLVING PCI CONFUSION FOR PROVIDING INBOUND MOBILITY TO CLOSED SUBSCRIBER GROUP

Method and apparatus for providing inbound mobility to closed subscriber group (CSG) and hybrid cells are described. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) reads the cell global identity (CGI) of a neighbor cell and reports it to a network of CSG cells. The network maps the CSG cell's physical cell identity (PCI) to the CSG CGI and, if required, requests the WTRU to read the CGI at handover.
