STORAGE MEDIUM, REPRODUCTION METHOD, RECORDING METHOD, REPRODUCTION DEVICE AND RECORDING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium which includes an organic pigment material with which the recording/reproduction can be performed with light of wavelength of less than 620 nm and to provide a recording method and recording device in which the medium is used.

SOLUTION: The light absorption rate is drastically decreased at light of wavelength of lower than 620 nm due to light absorption performance of a conventional organic pigment material, which leads to the decrease in recording sensitivity. By using an organic pigment recording material "L→H" which has reflecting rate which is higher in the position recorded (recording mark) than in the position not recorded, the substrate deformation is not needed by formation of a recording mark utilizing a decoloration effect due to separation of electronic bonds, which leads to enhancement of recording sensitivity.
