<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost and highly reliable control device of an outboard motor while facilitating securement of an installation space. <P>SOLUTION: An engine control unit (a control device) 42 of the outboard motor 1 has a main control device 42a for controlling a fuel system and an ignition system of an engine, and a sub-control device 42b for supplying and monitoring the electric current and/or the voltage of the fuel system, the ignition system and a starting system of the engine. Since the engine control unit 42 of the outboard motor 1 is divided into the main control deice 42a and the sub-control device 42b according to the function, the enlargement of the engine control unit 42 is prevented, its installation space is easily secured, and cost of the engine control unit 42 can be reduced, and the reliability of the engine control unit 42 can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
