<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform appropriate brightness control to output an image of high quality even in the case of a large change of brightness between frames in an image processing apparatus which uses a gain obtained from image data after correction to adjust brightness of image data before the correction. <P>SOLUTION: Brightness adjustment means includes: feedback brightness adjustment means which calculates a first gain from corrected image data and multiplies image data before the correction by the first gain; and feed forward brightness adjustment means which, on detection of a change in video scene, calculates a second gain for correcting a difference between the first gain calculated from the corrected image data and a first gain by which the image data before the correction corresponding to the corrected image data has been multiplied, on the basis of this difference, and multiplies the corrected image data by the second gain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
