<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable equipment having a function for scanning, imaging, or acquiring other data. <P>SOLUTION: The portable equipment informs a user when information enough to originally identify an original document is acquired. The portable equipment calculates a time stamp or a location stamp showing when and where data are acquired. The portable equipment is controllable by gesture.
