<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component, using a drum type core, such that the position of a starting or ending turn of a wiring positioned in an upper layer is stabilized. <P>SOLUTION: The coil component includes windings 30, 40 wound around a core part 11 of the drum type core 10. The winding 30 has an odd number of winding layers including a forward winding layer wound from a side of a flange part 12 to a side of a flange part 13, and a backward winding layer wound from the side of the flange part 13 to the side of the flange part 12. An inner surface 12a of the flange part 12 and a more upper-side winding layer 30 are at a longer distance from each other. The winding 40 is wound on the winding 30, and a turn 40s which is in contact with the inner surface 12a of the flange part 12 is in contact with the winding 30, and has its gravity center position 40Z located closer to the flange part 12 than its contact part 40Y contacting the winding 30. Consequently, the starting or ending turn of the winding 40 is held between the flange part 12 and winding 30, so the position of the starting or ending turn of the winding 40 becomes stable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
