PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for distributing area parameters and a method for distributing area parameters.

SOLUTION: A parameter stream is received which includes one or more sets of area parameters relating to one or more areas. The method includes determining a first real-time area indicator; and selecting one or more selected sets of area parameters from the parameter stream on the basis of the first real-time area indicator.
