PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that an apparatus becomes larger and is complicated because the apparatus includes a supply pump used for initial ink filling and bubble ejection operation.

SOLUTION: An ink filling unit 71 is obtained by unitizing an ink bottle 63 which is sealed with ink obtained by removing gas in filling ink and which is hermetically closed, a pressurizing cylinder 62 sealed with gas such as air and nitrogen for pressure feeding (pressurizing and sending liquid) the ink to a head unit 1, and a waste liquid bottle 64 for collecting and housing ink ejected due to ink filling. The ink bottle 63 is connected with an ink supply path 51 via a joint 56. A joint 57 is connected to an on/off-valve 54 and the waste liquid bottle 64 is connected via an ink return path 53. Ink filling is performed by supplying gas under pressure from the cylinder 62 and pressure feeding ink from the ink bottle 63 to the head unit 1.
