<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an automatic analysis device that allows the improvement of the stability and accuracy of data and detection with high sensitivity by reducing the density difference of solid distribution without enlargement of the device. <P>SOLUTION: Immediately after reagent dispensation into a reaction container 101 which contains a sample, the reaction container 101 is rotated by a driving gear 102 and a passive gear 103 which are rotation mechanisms, and the sample and the reagent are agitated and mixed. High agitation efficiency can be expected because the agitation by the rotation of the reaction container 101 allows a shear layer to be formed over the entire inner wall surface of the reaction container 101 contacted by the mixed liquid. Even if the reagent splatters against the inner wall surface of the reaction container 101 when discharging the reagent into the reaction container 101, the splattered reagent can be collected because the mixed liquid rises gradually by centrifugal force.
