The arrangement has a gear train comprising a non-circular wheel for reduction of torque fluctuations. The gear train is designed as a gear-transmission with a non-circular driving gear wheel (2) that is coupled with a camshaft (1). A non-circular breaking gear wheel (3) is rotatably connected with a drive shaft of a single-piston double-stroke fuel-high pressure pump (4). The gear train is designed as a traction mechanism gear with a non-circular toothed belt or a chain wheel that is coupled with the camshaft that is driven over a belt drive of a crankshaft (5) of a combustion engine.
