The drilling bit has a cutting edge (18) that is formed at a drilling head, where the cutting edge has a cutting surface (15) in the rotating direction before the cutting edge and a free surface (16) in the rotating direction behind the cutting edge. The cutting surface has a notch (12) for the parts of the chips. The edge line lies on a lateral surface by a cutting adjustment, where the edge line forms the notch with the free surface of the drilling head. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a drilling bit.
