<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device that can suppress color tone variation with respect to the radiation angle of radiation light and to provide an LED illuminating equipment using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting device 10 has an LED chip 1, a housing 3 in which the LED chip 1 is mounted at the inner bottom surface 3a side of a recess portion, a light transmissible base member 4 provided at one opened surface 3b side of the recess portion of the housing 3 so as to cover the recess portion, and a wavelength converter 5 for absorbing a part of light which is emitted from the LED chip 1 and passes through the base member 4, thereby wavelength-converting the light to different light. The base member 4 has an optical function unit 6 for emitting the light emitted from the LED chip 1 from the peripheral portion 4a of the base member 4 by at least one function of refraction and reflection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
