<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine ignition device which can easily and reliably perform accurate detection of the reverse rotation of an engine and the abrupt drop in engine rotation speed. <P>SOLUTION: An engine ignition device is provided with a magnet type generator 10 driven synchronously with an engine, an ignition timing control unit 35 for controlling ignition timing by timing in response to rotation speed of an engine on the basis of output from a source coil 20 in the magnet type generator 10, a detection unit 36 for detecting the reverse rotation of the engine or the abrupt drop in the engine rotation speed, and a misfire control unit 37 for executing misfire control when the detection unit 36 detects the reverse rotation of the engine or the abrupt drop in the engine rotation speed. The detection unit 36 detects the reverse rotation or the abrupt drop in the rotation speed from a change in sequences of a positive half-wave output and negative half-wave output which are input in different input terminals from the source coil 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
