<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal device which can perform excellent communication by means of an infrared ray. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile terminal device 1 comprises a main display panel 21a, a main visible light source 21c for emitting a visible light, a light guiding plate 26 for guiding a visible light to the main display panel 21a, a main display infrared light source 21d for emitting an infrared ray, and a communication control unit 100a for performing infrared ray communication processing of making the main display infrared light source 21d emit an infrared ray signal based on external operation. Here, the main display infrared light source 21d is placed so that the infrared ray signal will be led to a main liquid crystal display panel by the light guiding plate 26. For example, a plurality of main visible light sources 21c are placed at a first side surface side of the guiding plate 26, and a plurality of main display infrared light sources 21d are placed at a second side surface side opposite of the first side surface of the guiding plate 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
