<p>A camera drive device comprises: a camera section including an image capturing surface; a movable unit incorporating the camera section and having, on the outer shape thereof, an attraction magnet and a convex spherical surface; a stationary unit having a recess in which a magnetic body and the movable unit are loosely fitted, the stationary unit being configured in such a manner that the magnetic attraction force of the attraction magnet acting on the magnetic body causes the first convex spherical surface of the movable unit and the recess to be in point or linear contact with each other to allow the movable unit to freely rotate about the center of the convex spherical surface; a panning drive section; a tilting drive section; a rolling drive section; and a detector for detecting the tilt angles of the camera section in the panning direction and the tilt direction relative to the stationary unit and also detecting the rotational angle of the camera section which rotates in the rolling direction.</p> |
