<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tandem type drum unit capable of preventing deformation of a housing of a developing cartridge when rotatingly driving a developing roller. <P>SOLUTION: Four photosensitive drums 6 are disposed in rows between a pair of side plates 31 and 32 at some interval apart in the cross direction. Developing cartridge mounting section 35 on which a developing cartridges 8 are mounted are provided between the pair of side plates 31 and 32 corresponding to the respective photosensitive drums 6. Furthermore, a sub unit frame 21 or a front beam 33 for connecting the pair of side plates 31 and 32 is provided between the pair of side plates 31 and 32 in the front side with respective to each developing cartridge mounting section 35. Each sub unit frame 21 and front beam 33 are provided with two abutment sections 51 at an interval apart in the cross direction.
