摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately correct injection control characteristics of a fuel injection value in an engine and reduce variation in the injection amount of the fuel injection valve. <P>SOLUTION: When predetermined correction executing conditions are met, divided injection is executed in which fuel amounting to the required injection amount per cylinder is divided into fuel for fixed injection and fuel for variable injection and injected. The required injection amount per injection of the fixed injection is set within a low injection amount range (a range in which variation in injection amount increases). The required injection amount per injection of the variable injection is set within a high injection amount range (a range in which variation in injection amount decreases). When engine load changes during execution of the divided injection, the injection amount of the variable injection is changed within the high injection amount range while the injection amount of the fixed injection remains fixed. Injection control characteristics of the fuel injection valve 21 are corrected based on actual air-to-fuel ratio detected by an air-to-fuel ratio sensor 24 before the change in engine load and actual air-to-fuel ratio detected by the air-to-fuel ratio sensor 24 after the change in engine load. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
