A sealed battery comprises a can wherein an electrode coil group is housed; a cover further comprising an infusion port wherein electrolytic fluid is inserted, said cover sealing an aperture unit of the can; and an infusion plug that is fitted into the infusion port and that seals the infusion port with welding. A protrusion is disposed, which is fused at time of welding on either the exterior face of the infusion plug or the exterior face of the cover that connects to the infusion port. The molten metal of the protrusion at time of welding is also used in welding the infusion plug to the infusion port. |
