摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed image which can take a magnetically aligned platelet or flake array form that can be uniform in shape and in size, where the flakes are aligned by a specific method of forming an optical illusive image useful in safety-device or beam-steering applications. <P>SOLUTION: One embodiment of the present invention discloses a printed array comprising a plurality of concentric rings of magnetically aligned platelets disposed upon a substrate in the form of a Fresnel structure, preferably a Fresnel reflector. Advantageously, since the magnetic field can be controlled with respect to strength and direction, a magnetic field that will correct for spherical aberration that would otherwise be present in a typical Fresnel reflector can be easily designed.
