PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device capable of uniform emission by providing an auxiliary wiring in the light emitting device, provide a light emitting device capable of reducing the occurrence of a short circuit between electrodes or between an electrode and an auxiliary wiring due to a step caused by the auxiliary wiring, and further provide a highly reliable light emitting device by preventing a short circuit.

SOLUTION: In an electro-luminescence (EL) light emitting device including an auxiliary wiring, the occurrence of a short circuit between electrodes or between an electrode and an auxiliary wiring due to a step caused by the auxiliary wiring is prevented by covering a step portion generated by the auxiliary wiring with an insulating material.
