<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner excellent in release property with a sheet upon fixing, producing a less amount of a volatile organic compound (VOC) by heating during fixing of the toner, and thereby, resulting in no contamination on a printing sheet, and having excellent fluidity, replenishing property and a fixing temperature range, and to provide toner having excellent transfer efficiency and giving a high-quality image with less transfer residual toner. <P>SOLUTION: The toner is obtained through at least a step of emulsifying or dispersing a toner material liquid, comprising liquid containing materials that constitute the toner, in an aqueous medium. The toner contains wax showing a mass reduction of 10 mass% or less at 165°C, in which the molecular chain is composed of only C-H and C-C bonds, and showing a probe penetration degree of 5 or more and 25 or less.
