<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a governor tensioner configured so that a fallen object is hardly caught between a tensioner sheave and a governor rope. <P>SOLUTION: The governor tensioner includes: a mounting member having one end fixed to a guide rail for an elevator; the tensioner sheave rotatably supported on the mounting member, around which the governor rope for a governor which detects an abnormal speed of an elevator and operates an emergency stop device is wound; a tension weight suspended from the other end of the attachment member to tense the governor rope; a protection cover supported to be rockable concentrically with the tensioner sheave, located above the tensioner sheave, and disposed to cover a rope groove which extends substantially semi-circularly; and a weight suspended from a lower end portion of the protection cover to place a vertical load on the protection cover. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
