According to the present invention, an apparatus for manufacturing a light guide plate comprises: a transfer device which transfers a substrate having a predetermined thickness to be manufactured into a light guide plate; a detector which detects the movement of the substrate being transferred; a pair of press rollers facing each other with a predetermined spacing therebetween for pressing, in both the downward and upward directions, the substrate being transferred by the transfer device; a stamper which is attached to at least one of the pair of press rollers, and which has a light-scattering pattern formed thereon; and a gap-adjusting device connected to at least one of the pair of press rollers for adjusting the gap between the press rollers. The gap-adjusting device adjusts the gap such that the gap remains larger than the thickness of the substrate in the region at which the start of the movement of the substrate is detected by the detector, the gap remains smaller than the thickness of the substrate in an intermediate region, and the gap remains larger than the thickness of the substrate in an end region. |
