The present invention relates to a particle for an electro-optical display apparatus, a manufacturing method therefor, and an electrophoretic display apparatus. According to one embodiment of the present invention, particles for a multi-color display apparatus include dye formation couplers, photosensitive metal salts, and a bonding agent by which the dye formation couplers and the photosensitive metal salts are dispersed. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for manufacturing particles for a multi-color display apparatus comprises the steps of: forming particles including a photosensitive color-developing material comprising dye formation couplers, photosensitive metal salts, and a bonding agent by which the dye formation couplers and the photosensitive metal salts are dispersed; exposing the particles to form a latent image on the particles; and developing the exposed particles to form color particles in which a predetermined color is color-developed.
