<p>A storage apparatus is provided with: a plurality of magnetic disk apparatuses each of which has a write cache; a processor unit that stores data redundantly; a rebuilding implementation control unit that implements rebuilding; a write cache control unit that validates the write cache of the storage apparatus, which is for storing data rebuilt at the time of rebuilding; and a rebuilding progress management unit that is comprised of a nonvolatile memory, and manages progress information about the rebuilding. When power is turned-off during rebuilding and turned on again, the rebuilding implementation control unit calculates an address, from the address of the last data that was written at the time of rebuilding, that precedes an area that is equivalent to the capacity of the write cache, on the basis of the progress information about the rebuilding managed by the progress management unit, and resumes the rebuilding from the calculated address.</p> |
