STENT TYPE OPENING METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implantable stent for maintaining patency of a lumen.

SOLUTION: A stent 300 with prescribed expanded shape includes: a first stent segment 12 and a second stent segment 14 extending to the circumferential direction and having each certain cross sectional diameter; a third stent segment 16 which is formed to be a tapered shape in an expanded state of the stent; a fourth stent segment 22 which is connected to the first stent segment 12 and the third stent segment 16; and a fifth stent segment 24 which is connected to the third stent segment 16 and the second stent segment 4. In the expanded state of the stent, the fourth stent segment 22 is formed to be a divergence tapered shape from a taper of the third stent segment 16 and the fifth stent segment 24 is formed to be a divergence tapered shape from the taper of the third stent segment 16.
