<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power converter which reduces the number of fans in the electric power converter housing a plurality of electric power conversion units to be minimal and secures necessary air volume for a unit disposed far from a fan and the air volume of which is likely to become insufficient. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power conversion device in which a plurality of electric power conversion units having different air pathway resistances and heat values are housed in a housing in parallel with the housing surface comprise a fan provided in the housing of the electric power conversion device for sucking air into the inside of the housing and exhausting air to the outside of the housing through intake ports disposed in respective electric power conversion units, a ventilation duct for ventilating air passed through the electric power conversion units to the outside of the housing, a fan provided even in a closed chamber adjacent to the ventilation duct for discharging air to the outside and a vent hole provided between the ventilation duct and the closed chamber, which serves as a bypassed air pathway. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
