TRAFFIC ACCOMMODATION METHOD, LINE DESIGN DEVICE AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform determination of an optical wavelength path or a logical path and determination of traffic accommodation based on traffic demand in a multilayer network.

SOLUTION: A line design device 40 makes a path accommodate traffic corresponding to a traffic request which occurs between different communication nodes 100. If an optical wavelength path larger than a packet unit has been set according to a traffic request, and traffic corresponding to the traffic request has been accommodated in the optical wavelength path, the line design device 40 includes a relevant request detection unit for detecting a traffic request which can be accommodated in the already set optical wavelength path from part or all of traffic requests that are not accommodated, according to prescribed criteria; and additional accommodation unit for accommodating part or all of traffic requests which are not accommodated in the already set optical wavelength path, such that traffic requests will be accommodated as many as possible.
