Provided is a hair cosmetic that contains fixed proportions of water and a cationic based copolymer, which is acquired by radical polymerisation and requires (A) a tertiary amine compound or salt thereof, (B) an aliphatic alcohol with 12-26 carbon atoms and (C) a specific vinyl monomer with a nonionic base, a specific vinyl monomer with a cationic base and a specific cross-linkable vinyl monomer.
