PURPOSE: A stereoscopic image display device and a driving method thereof are provided to minimize crosstalk when a display device reproduces a 3D image wherein the display device operates at a low frame frequency. CONSTITUTION: A black data inserting unit(112) generates first frame data by inserting black data between input data of a left eye image. The black data inserting unit generates second frame data by inserting black data between input data of a right eye image. The left eye lens of shutter glasses(130) is opened when a display panel(100) displays the first frame data. The right eye lens of the shutter glasses is opened when the display panel displays the second frame data.
