[Class 132 (i).] Exercising-apparatus of the kind comprising a frame provided with a seat, a handlebar, a crank axle with pedal cranks, and adjustable braking means is characterized in that the crank axle is provided on one side of its bearing with a disc to which the braking means are applied, and on the other side of its bearing with a flywheel. As shown, the crank axle is mounted in ball bearings and carries pedal cranks 16. On one side is provided a peripherally grooved disc 17 passing round which is a brake-band 22, the ends of which are fastened together and connected by a spring 26 to the end of the cable 30 operated by the lever 32 on the handlebar. On the other side is provided a flywheel 19.
