ADAPTIVE CLOCK RECOVERY METHOD AND APPARATUS

PURPOSE: An adaptive clock restoration method and an apparatus thereof are provided to minimize possibilities of underflow and overflow states, thereby reducing system maintenance expenses. CONSTITUTION: A filled level read part(110) reads a filled level value of a packet jitter buffer. A clock frequency variant estimation part(120) estimates a clock frequency variant corresponding to a difference between estimated clock frequencies in a source node and destination node. A correction part(130) calculates a clock frequency correction value for correcting frequency fluctuations of packets transferred to the destination node. A filled level control part(150) adaptively controls a filled level of the packet jitter buffer by considering a clock frequency calculated in a clock frequency restoration part(140).
